It’s been a little too long since I posted on this blog, but let me assure you – I haven’t stopped using Walter’s Special Technique, and aside from the occasional circumstantial bump-in-the-road, (I do still drink too much, and that has an effect on how often I feel like smoking, as well as my conscious and subconscious frame of mind…) my over-all smoking tendencies are being satisfactorily addressed by all these subliminal affirmations.
As a matter of fact, today was the first day that the urge to have a cigarette to start the day off was basically gone! I didn’t have my morning cigarette until about 90 minutes after getting out of bed – a huge improvement for me!
I’ve also sort of spontaneously recalled something about using the technique that I’d discovered before but seemed to forget this time around – I’d often tend to just glance at the card-of-the-day without going through the business of properly reading it, (relying on my conscious recognition of what it said), but have found once again that doing this sort of defeats the purpose. In the attempt at making the card-reading as effective as possible on a subconscious level, I’ve been disinclined to put a lot of conscious effort into it, but actually reading every word of the day’s affirmation before tucking the card back into a pocket (I’ve been keeping it in the windowed-section of my wallet, actually), works to a much better effect than simply glancing at it and consciously reminding myself of what it says.
Anyway, I have to admit that I haven’t been quite as diligent in tracking all of my cigarettes in the last few days as I intended to be… The last full recorded day of smoking-logging was Tuesday, November 1st – so I’ve posted those smoking-logs, back-dated, and will resume careful tracking from tomorrow onward.
NOTE: Instead of posting yesterday’s smoke-log on every new post, I’ll simply add it to that day’s post after-the-fact, so as to simplify things a little. I’m sure you’ll find just by looking at them that I’m not “fudging” them to look good or anything – they’re completely honest, even if the exact time for each cigarette is rounded to the nearest five-minute period.
Smoking Is Unattractive
